I’ve been to Nova Scotia three times, and each visit gets better than the last. It’s a Canadian province on the east side of Maine, and the name means New Scotland. I fly into the capital city of Halifax and find mystical greenery and shimmering blue lakes all around. The people are friendly, the towns are clean, and visitors and residents find a diverse range of options and adventures.
Kyra, my ten year old granddaughter, is becoming quite the chef. She is a devoted Food Network watcher and loves to help her Mom in the kitchen. I recently made a visit to her home in New Jersey and while her parents we out, we got to baking. I adored spending time with her this way and we were proud of our finished product.
I bought four zucchini’s almost a week ago to make Zucchini Cheese Appetizer Squares. I got behind in preparation for my cocktail party and the snack squares never got made.
