Done gingerbread houses and Nutcracker teas,

Candy cane reindeer and trim-a-trees.

Gone neighborhood caroling, hosted family gatherings,

Two open house buffets and brunch on New Year’s Day.

Dr. Seuss claims the “who’s” like Christmas a lot,

But this Mom is beginning to think she does NOT.

“Why, for 50 some years I’ve put up with it now.”

I must stop this holiday madness from getting to me… but how?
